These Terms govern your use of Find a Spot (also known as 搵位 HK Parking – Live Meters), published by IGEARS TECHNOLOGY LIMITED ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms and the applicable rules of the app store through which you obtained it. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
License and acceptable use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Find a Spot on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play usage rules.
Do not use the app unlawfully, interfere with its operation or data services, bypass security or purchase systems, or infringe another person’s rights. Do not copy, redistribute, modify, or reverse engineer the app except where applicable law or the license of an included open-source component permits it.
Parking information and availability
The app displays parking information from the Transport Department / DATA.GOV.HK. This information may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or wrong. Any availability estimate or suggested space is for guidance only.
A space shown as vacant may already be taken when you arrive. Find a Spot does not reserve parking spaces or guarantee that a space will be available, suitable for your vehicle, or lawful for you to use. Check the actual space, parking signs, restrictions, charges, and conditions before parking.
Safe and lawful use
Follow all applicable traffic laws, parking signs, and directions from authorities. You remain responsible for driving safely and for parking and paying correctly. Information or reminders in the app do not replace signs, legal requirements, or your own checks.
Do not hold or operate your phone in your hand while driving. Set up the app before you start moving, ask a passenger to use it, or stop in a safe and lawful place before interacting with it. Any mounted device must comply with applicable law and must not obstruct your view or distract you from driving.
Free download, advertising, and purchases
Find a Spot is free to download, browsing parking spaces is free, and the free app shows ads. Auto Park Finder includes some introductory uses. An optional one-off in-app purchase removes ads.
Apple or Google, as applicable, handles store purchases, payment processing, and refunds under its own terms and refund rules. Check the store purchase screen for the price and what is included before buying. For purchase problems, follow the relevant store’s support and refund process; you can also contact us for help. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Third-party services and intellectual property
The app relies on official parking-data services, the relevant app store, and advertising services. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply. Availability of those services is outside our full control.
The app’s software, branding, and original content are protected by intellectual-property laws. Third-party data, names, and materials remain subject to their owners’ rights and applicable licenses. These Terms do not grant a right to reuse or redistribute them beyond the rights those owners or licenses provide.
Availability and changes
We may update the app or reasonably change, suspend, or discontinue features when necessary for security, reliability, compatibility, legal compliance, or service operation. We do not promise uninterrupted service or support for every device. Any change remains subject to your rights under applicable law and the relevant store’s purchase terms.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the app, services, or law. We will post the updated version and date at this URL and communicate material changes where required by law.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the app and parking information are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the app or its data will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or error-free.
To the extent permitted by law, IGEARS TECHNOLOGY LIMITED is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability, warranty, remedy, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Governing law and privacy
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. This choice of law does not reduce mandatory consumer protections or other rights that apply to you under applicable law.
How the app handles information is described in the separate Find a Spot Privacy Policy linked above. The MobPage website privacy policy is separate from the app’s privacy policy.
Apple-specific acknowledgement
For an iOS download, these Terms are between you and IGEARS TECHNOLOGY LIMITED, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Find a Spot. The applicable Apple usage rules and license agreement continue to apply.
