This privacy policy explains how Violin Tuner handles information when you use the iOS app (bundle org.mobpage.violintuner). No account is required. Microphone audio is analysed on your iPhone only while the live tuner is running and is never recorded, stored, or uploaded.
Microphone audio (on device only)
When you tap Start live tuner, the app uses the microphone to estimate pitch. Processing happens in memory on your device. The app does not save audio files and does not send microphone audio to our servers.
Preferences and learning data (on device)
The app stores locally: concert pitch and display preferences, lesson completion marks, practice session history (date, duration, focus), usage-session count for the free ad-free period, and whether you purchased Remove Ads.
This data does not leave your device unless you back up your iPhone through Apple’s own backup services. Uninstalling the app removes local data on that device.
Purchases and advertising
If you buy Remove Ads, Apple processes the payment through StoreKit. We receive an entitlement signal that ads should be disabled — not your full payment card details.
After more than 10 usage sessions without Remove Ads, free users may see Google Mobile Ads (banner, interstitial, and app open). Google may process advertising-related data under Google’s privacy policy. You can stop ads permanently with the one-time Remove Ads purchase.
What we do not do
We do not require sign-in. We do not operate our own analytics or crash-reporting SDK beyond what Apple may provide. We do not use the microphone for advertising. We do not sell personal information.
Violin Tuner is a general music utility and learning aid and is not directed at children under 13.
