SilverWay HK (樂齡易行; bundle hk.com.igt.elderlyhk) is an accessibility-first journey and daily-needs assistant for older adults, carers, and families in Hong Kong. We minimise data collection, keep sharing off by default, and leave control with you. The current version does not require an account or login.
Information stored on your device
To remember accessibility preferences, the app may store on your device settings such as text size, high-contrast mode, Cantonese text-to-speech toggle, optional family arrival check-in toggle (if you enable it), and saved places you choose to keep.
These are stored locally and are not uploaded to our servers by default. Clearing app data or deleting the app removes this local information.
Location
Nearby or routing features may later request When In Use location with your consent. We do not collect precise location until the app actually requests permission and you agree.
Location sharing and family notification features stay off by default. We do not sell precise journey or location behaviour for advertising.
Phone dialling and speech
If you use Call Family or Emergency Call 999, the app shows a confirmation step first, then opens the system Phone app via tel:. Calls are handled by your carrier and the system Phone app. We do not record calls or collect call audio.
Cantonese prompts use on-device / system text-to-speech. This is not microphone recording and does not require mic permission.
Demo or public information
Some routes, facilities, phone numbers, or A&E waiting times may be demonstration or public-data displays in early builds. They are informational only and are not medical triage or medical advice. Treat official sources as authoritative.
Sharing and what we do not collect
We do not sell your personal data or precise travel/health-related behaviour to advertisers. Disclosure may occur when you initiate an action (for example opening the Phone app), when required by law, or when necessary for future service providers under contract.
Unless this policy is updated, we do not collect registration identity data, advertising cross-app tracking, microphone/contacts/photo library access for core features, or clinical health records.
Children, emergency notice, and your choices
The app is designed for older adults and carers in Hong Kong. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
If life is in danger, call 999 (or local emergency services) immediately. A&E waiting times (if shown) are not medical triage. Accessibility / lift information is based on available public data and cannot guarantee every pavement, slope, or temporary arrangement.
You may turn off speech or contrast settings, decline location/family features, cancel dial confirmation, delete the app, or contact us using the email below.
