Passwords Locker keeps your password vault on your device. We do not operate a cloud vault or developer account service. Your vault contents, master passphrase, imported documents and OCR results are not sent to us. Android package: org.igears.passwordlocker. The free version uses Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP); Google Play provides the optional one-time remove-ads purchase.
Vault and security data
Passwords, usernames, websites, notes, tags and preferences are stored in the app's private storage on your Android device. The vault is encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your master passphrase. Your master passphrase is not sent to us and cannot be recovered by us.
If you enable biometric unlock, Android Keystore protects a local vault key. Biometric templates are managed by Android and are not accessible to Passwords Locker, us, or the advertising service. We do not use vault contents for advertising, analytics, personalization or purchase processing.
On-device usage information
The app keeps a small local launch counter and local flags for support-message and remove-ads ownership. On the first run of the monetization version, Android's local first-install and last-update timestamps may be checked to distinguish a new install from an upgrade. These values stay on the device and are not uploaded to a developer server.
Advertising and consent
Eligible free users may receive ads from Google Mobile Ads. UMP requests and records consent or privacy choices where required. A remove-ads purchase prevents future ad requests after ownership is confirmed.
Google Mobile Ads may collect and share technical information such as IP address (for approximate location), app interactions, diagnostics, and device or advertising identifiers under Google's policies. See https://policies.google.com/privacy . You can reset the Advertising ID in Android settings and use Privacy choices in Settings when UMP requires it.
Purchases, import, sharing and backups
Google Play Billing processes the optional one-time product org.igears.passwordlocker.supportus. We do not receive your full payment-card information. The app only receives enough purchase status to grant or restore the remove-ads entitlement.
Photo or PDF import uses a bundled on-device text-recognition model. Selected files and recognized text are not sent to us or to advertising. Local Wi-Fi sharing is user-initiated, read-only and time-limited; the payload is encrypted on the phone and is not sent to a developer server. Exported backups are saved where you choose.
Children and contact
Passwords Locker is not directed to children under 13. The intended audience for this release is adults.
