香港凶宅資料庫 is a searchable database of haunted-house cases manually compiled from publicly reported Hong Kong media, with an optional secondary 18-district open-data feature. The app has no account system and does not ask you to submit personal information. It does not collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, health data, or files. The free version is supported by advertising; a one-time purchase removes ads and unlocks case incident summaries and related news links when available.
Case data, open data and personal information
Haunted-house cases are manually compiled from publicly available Hong Kong media reports and are for reference only. The optional 18-district rankings use public datasets catalogued by DATA.GOV.HK. The app does not operate an analytics server or upload personal information to us. We do not sell your data.
A session counter, purchase unlock flag, and one-time support-message flag are stored locally on your device and removed when you uninstall the app.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
After the first five ad-free sessions, free users may see ads served by Google AdMob. Google may process an advertising identifier, approximate location inferred from IP, device information, and ad interactions under its policies. See https://policies.google.com/privacy .
Where legally required, a Google consent message is shown; declining results in non-personalized ads. The app requests non-personalized ads and does not use advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking.
Remove ads and unlock case details
The optional one-time purchase removes ads and unlocks case incident summaries plus related news links when available. It is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your name, card number, or billing address. The app stores only an on-device flag for the unlock state.
Children and your choices
The app is not directed to children and ad content is limited to a Teen maturity rating. Case content may reference real-world incidents involving death; use discretion.
You can limit ad personalization in device settings, decline personalized ads where a consent message is shown, or remove ads with the in-app purchase.
