This privacy policy explains how FoodTruth (Android package org.igears.deadfooda) handles information. No account is required. Bookmarks and preferences stay on your device. The app does not collect personal health profiles.
Information stored on your device
Bookmarks, language preference, and local app settings are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app removes this information. We do not operate a FoodTruth account system or cloud sync for bookmarks.
Advertising and purchases
The free version may show Google AdMob ads. Google may process advertising-related identifiers (such as Advertising ID) under Google’s privacy policy. You can remove ads forever with a one-time Google Play purchase (product remove_ads).
Purchase state is handled by Google Play Billing. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Network use
Internet access is used for ads, Play Billing, and opening source reference links you choose. The evidence cards themselves are designed to work offline once installed.
Health disclaimer
FoodTruth is for food-safety education only. It does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. It never tells you to stop or change medicine. A missing search result means no exact reviewed match — not that something is safe. In an emergency, use local emergency or poison services.
Children
The app is not directed to children and is not designed for Google Play’s Designed for Families programme. Parents should supervise any use involving medicine or pregnancy-related guidance.
