ERNow HK (救護通; package hk.ithkservice.ernow) helps Hong Kong users find practical emergency-related information from public sources. There is no account system. The app is not a medical device and is not affiliated with the Hospital Authority, Fire Services Department or the HKSAR Government. If life is in danger, call 999 immediately.

Information stored on your device
The app may store alarm settings, accessibility preferences, a local ad-free session counter, purchase entitlement, and similar settings in private storage on your device.
Clearing app data or uninstalling the app removes this local information.
Data retention and deletion
We operate no servers, no accounts and no user database, and therefore store and retain no user data of our own.
Retention for each category of data that the app may handle is as follows:

- The app sets android:allowBackup="false", so this on-device data is not copied into Android cloud backups by the app.
How to delete your data
- Delete individual alarms, or blank the saved lesson address, in Settings.
- Revoke the location permission in Android Settings if you no longer want optional AED distance sorting.
- Delete everything at once via Android Settings > Apps > 救護通 ERNow HK > Storage > Clear data, or by uninstalling the app.
- Reset the advertising ID via Android Settings > Privacy > Ads (wording may vary by device).
- Purchase records are managed through your Google account.
There is no separate deletion request to send us, because we hold no copy of your data. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
Location
Approximate location is used only when you choose optional distance sorting for nearby AED lookup. It is processed on your device for that feature and is not uploaded to us as a developer-operated profile.
We do not sell precise location or travel behaviour for advertising.
Phone dialling and public data
If you choose to call 999, the app opens the system Phone app via tel: after you confirm. Calls are handled by your carrier and the system Phone app. We do not record calls.
A&E waiting times come from Hospital Authority public data where available. AED locations may use Fire Services Department open data. Outdated wait figures may be hidden. These displays are informational only and are not medical triage, government endorsement, or admission predictions.
Advertising and purchases
The free version may show ads through Google AdMob after early ad-free sessions. Google may process advertising identifiers, approximate technical information, and ad interaction data under its privacy policy. Where legally required, a consent message may be shown.
An optional one-time Remove Ads purchase (product id remove_ads) is processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment-card details.
Rescue learning and siren alarm
Offline rescue learning content and siren-alarm features are for education and reminders only. They do not replace real emergency help and do not impersonate government emergency alerts.
Precise-alarm / full-screen alarm permissions are requested only when needed for alarm features you enable; if declined, a reduced mode may still be available.
Children, emergency notice, and your choices
ERNow HK is a general-audience information utility and is not directed specifically to children.
If life is in danger, call 999 immediately. A&E waiting times are not medical triage. Always verify important details with official hospital or emergency sources.
You may purchase Remove Ads, decline personalized ads where a consent message is shown, clear local data, or uninstall the app.
