Baby Shopping List ("the app") keeps the information you enter private and on your device. The free version shows ads to keep the app free; you can remove ads with a one-time purchase. The data you enter stays on your device
Everything you create in the app — checklists, dates, budgets, receipts, receipt images, schedules, and achievement progress — is stored only in the app's local database on your device. We do not collect it, upload it, or sell it. It leaves your device only if you explicitly export a backup or CSV file through the system file picker or share sheet.
There are no user accounts. Receipt text recognition runs entirely on your device (Apple Vision on iOS; Google ML Kit's on-device models on Android); receipt images and recognized text are never uploaded.
Advertising (free version)
The free version displays ads through Google AdMob. The app does not track you. It requests only non-personalized ads — ads are not based on a profile of your interests or your activity across other apps and websites, and the app does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
To serve non-personalized ads, Google may still process limited technical information (such as device model, OS version, language, coarse location derived from IP address, and ad interaction counts, plus a device identifier used for frequency capping and fraud prevention). See https://policies.google.com/privacy . Removing ads stops ad requests entirely.
Remove-ads purchase
You can remove ads permanently with a one-time in-app purchase. Payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); we never receive or store your payment details. The stores tell the app only whether the purchase is owned, so ads can be turned off.
Notifications and permissions
Reminders are scheduled locally by the operating system on your device. No notification content is sent to any server.
Camera / photo access (optional): only when you scan or pick a receipt image. Notifications (optional): only to deliver reminders you create. Exact alarms (Android, optional): so reminders fire at the exact time you chose. Internet is used only to load non-personalized ads and process purchases.
Children's privacy
The app is intended for expectant parents and caregivers, not for children. It is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If a future version changes any of the above, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date revised before that version is released.
